Frequently asked questions

What materials do you use?

For paintings, I normally use acrylic, utilizing various brands. For my watercolors and drawings, I use ballpoint pens for the line art, then I color using either marker, crayon, or colored pencils, and always finishing with highlights using a white gel pen.

For my sculptures and toys, I have been using polymer clay but I have been attempting to branch out into other types of clays. I paint the clay with acrylic and occasional glaze, the post-baking, I seal the clay with polycrylic or polyurethane. The fabric used is upcycled from old clothing and fabric.

How long does it take you to finish a piece?

Depending on the size, paintings can take between 1 day to a week. Sculptures take usually 1 to 3 days, usually I make multiple pieces at a time.

What inspired you to start arting?

I think it's just been a lifelong source of comfort, it continued throughout my life because I realized I had the ability to draw my favorite characters and tape them on my wall (back before merchandising decided to make products of all my favorite characters and I had to make my own).

I'm consistently inspired by animations, doll and toy designs, and the glory of nature, squirrels, turtle noises, TREES
